I’m Karen, and noticing is where every painting begins

I’m a wildlife artist based in Christchurch, New Zealand, although there’s still plenty of Belfast tucked into the edges. This piece began the way they all do — with a quiet moment I couldn’t look away from.

A perfect fit.

I fell in love with this artwork when I saw it at the Arts Centre exhibition. Bird images are among my favourites - I already have several around my home. Quiet Reflection will be hung beside a large seascape that has seabirds in it, so continuing a theme.

Christine, thank you so much. There's something that feels just right about the Razorbill settling in beside a seascape; I can picture exactly how that wall will feel. Birds have a way of anchoring a space, don't they? I hope Quiet Reflection brings you a little moment of stillness every time you pass by it.

Once a size sells out, that edition is closed and won't be reprinted — the print will no longer be available in that size.

How long will my print take to arrive?

Limited edition prints are signed, titled and numbered by hand before dispatch, so please allow a little extra time — I'll always let you know if there's a longer wait.

What if my order arrives damaged?

Please email me straight away at art@karengourley.com with photos of the damage and I’ll arrange a repair, replacement or refund.
