Why This Piece?

Honey Bee came from my love of watching the small dramas playing out in the garden.

I can quite happily lose far too much time following bees from flower to flower, camera in hand, waiting for one to stay still for approximately half a second. They’re completely oblivious to me, of course. They have important bee business to attend to.

This painting was my way of capturing one of those fleeting moments: a honey bee tucked amongst the pink flowers, gathering nectar and getting on with its day.

It’s exactly the sort of moment The Quiet Wild is about. Nothing grand or dramatic, just something beautiful happening right under our noses if we remember to notice it.

What Makes It Special?

There’s something rather lovely about the ordinary little moments happening in the garden while we’re busy doing something else.

Honey Bee captures one of those moments, a bee quietly gathering nectar among the flowers. The soft colours and delicate detail give the artwork a calm, summery feel, while the bee brings that little spark of life that makes you stop and look twice.

All prints are sold unframed unless a framing option is selected.

Where framing is available, frames are made from solid wood and glazed with glass to protecting the artwork.

A white mount is included to give the artwork space to breathe within the frame unless the print comes with a pre printed border
