I'm Karen, the artist behind The Quiet Wild.

I paint wildlife in soft pastels from my home studio in Christchurch, inspired by the quiet moments in nature that make you stop for a second and really look. You'll find plenty of New Zealand birds in my work, alongside the occasional fox, hare or other familiar face from closer to where I grew up in Belfast.
