As I watched a great tit flitting between delicate blossoms, pausing just long enough to take in its surroundings, there was a sense of calm that stayed with me.

Painted in soft pastels, this piece is about that fleeting pause. The gentle sway of blossom, the subtle colour of spring light and the bird’s moment of stillness all come together to create a scene that feels peaceful and unhurried.
