Fantails have a way of appearing unexpectedly, bringing a sense of lightness and quiet connection with them. This piece was created to capture that feeling, a small moment of stillness that feels both delicate and alive.
Created using soft pastels on archival paper, the artwork is built up in gentle layers to capture subtle colour, texture, and light, with hand-applied gold foil detailing adding a soft shimmer as the piece catches the light.
