I’m Karen, and noticing is where every painting begins

I’m a wildlife artist based in Christchurch, New Zealand, although there’s still plenty of Belfast tucked into the edges. This piece began the way they all do — with a quiet moment I couldn’t look away from.

2nd print, yes my wife loves them, particularly the Kingfisher.

Karl, thank you so much and the fact that this is your second print means the world to me! I love that your wife is a fan of the Kingfisher too. There's something about the Kotare that seems to really speak to people. I hope the Fantail finds a beautiful spot alongside it at home 🙂

My beautiful fantail art piece from Karen was very special as it was to honour the care and love given to my mum at the rest home she lived at before she passed away, my mum loved Fantails and we put the art work on the wall next to where my mum had her lunch and watched the big tree outside change in the seasons Karen made the purchase very special for me and I would highly reccomend Karens Art work

What happens once an edition sells out?

Once a size sells out, that edition is closed and won't be reprinted — the print will no longer be available in that size.

How long will my print take to arrive?

Limited edition prints are signed, titled and numbered by hand before dispatch, so please allow a little extra time — I'll always let you know if there's a longer wait.

What if my order arrives damaged?

Please email me straight away at art@karengourley.com with photos of the damage and I’ll arrange a repair, replacement or refund.
